So ya know that stupid AT&T commercial where the little girl sneaks her teddy bear into her dad’s briefcase before he leaves for a business trip, and then he takes pictures of the bear at various locations and sends them to the kid? Aside from it being maddeningly maudlin, there is something that has been driving me crazy about this ad from the get-go. I finally figured it out last night. About 12 seconds into the commercial, the mother and daughter are in the car alongside a bag of groceries. Sticking out of the paper bag are no less than FIVE baguettes. I mean, I love carbs as much as the next fat ass, but why on earth does one woman and her four year old kid need five freaking loaves of French bread? This will now continue to get on my nerves every time I see this dumb commercial. I mean, it’s not like you can keep a baguette for more than a day without it getting stale. Am I wrong?!
I really need a hobby.
